Justin Bieber expresses support for accused manager

Teenage singer Justin Bieber recently expressed support for his manager, who has been charged with reckless endangerment and other crimes, in connection with an incident at a mall in which several people sustained minor injuries last year. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Bieber released a statement citing he was standing by Scott “Scooter” Braun amid the allegations Wednesday.

Braun was alleged to have failed to promptly alert fans via Twitter that Bieber would not be making a scheduled appearance, which led to a fan frenzy that resulted in five individuals being taken to a hospital.

Bieber is quoted in the report as stating of the matter, “My mother and I are 100 percent behind my manager… He is someone of high moral character and principle. The decisions he made that day were to protect the safety of myself and my fans and I am very thankful to have someone in my life who watches over me the way Scooter does.”

Producer Shawty Redd’s Court Appearance on Murder Charge.

Grammy nominated producer Demetrius Stewart known to the world as Shawty Redd made his first court appearance on the charge of murder in front of Henry County Judge Brown this morning. Judge Brown explained to Mr. Stewart what he was being charged with and discussed the issue of giving him a bond. While Shawty Redd was entitled to have been represented by a court appointed attorney for his bond hearing, he decided that since his own attorney was not in town at the moment, he wanted his case postponed for another date. As a result, Magistrate Judge Brown rescheduled his bond hearing for January 12 in which case he must remain in custody until the hearing.

The man murdered has been identified as 35 year old Damon A. Martin also known as ‘Choppo’ of Detroit. A witness to the incident has stated that they overheard a man fitting the description of the deceased making threats of violence to Mr. Stewart prior to the shooting and that the weapon used was legally registered to him.
